OptiSign
Designed to support ordinary electronic signatures under South Africa's ECTA (s13(2)–(3)), with consent capture, signer evidence, and a tamper-evident platform seal. OptiSign is not an advanced electronic signature service — use it only for documents legally capable of ordinary electronic signature.
No complex workflows. Upload, sign, and download in minutes.
Completed documents are sealed with a PDF cryptographic seal, so any change after signing is detectable.
Works directly with PDF documents. No format conversion or special software needed.
Supports ordinary electronic signatures under ECTA s13(2)–(3), with supporting evidence under s15 — not an advanced electronic signature.
Sign documents in seconds instead of printing, signing by hand, and scanning.
Start with the ordinary electronic signature workflows that fit your documents, then expand as your team's signing needs grow.
OptiSign supports ordinary electronic signatures under the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 2002 (ECTA) s13(2)–(3). Every signature mark is backed by an evidence trail — the signer details supplied for the transaction, when the link was used, network metadata, and the consent they gave — that supports the signature under ECTA s15, and the completed document is protected by a platform digital seal.
Under ECTA these are excluded from electronic signing entirely: wills, agreements for the sale of immovable property, leases of land longer than 20 years, bills of exchange.
Some documents require an advanced electronic signature that OptiSign does not provide: suretyships and documents signed before a commissioner of oaths.
OptiTrust does not provide legal advice. If you are unsure whether a document may be signed electronically, consult a legal practitioner before sending it.
